How can we help you get out the door?

Answers on your account, matches, planning dates and staying safe. Can’t find what you need? Our team is one email away.

Account and profile

Where is Spot available?

Spot is launching first in Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas, with over 100 independent local venues already on board. We’ll open up to more towns and cities soon. Join the waitlist on our home page and we’ll send you an invite when Spot goes live near you.

Who can use Spot?

You must be 18 or over to create an account. Each person may have one account, and your profile should be you: real photos, your real first name and accurate details.

How do I edit my profile or photos?

Open your profile in the app and tap Edit. From there you can change your photos, bio and date preferences. Changes save straight away.

I can’t log in. What should I do?
  • Check you’re using the same sign-in method you signed up with.
  • Make sure you have the latest version of Spot from the App Store.
  • Restart the app and try again on a stable connection.

Still stuck? Email support@meetonspot.com from the address on your account and tell us what you see on screen.

Matches and the 24-hour date builder

What is the 24-hour date builder?

When you match with someone, you both have 24 hours to build a real plan together: choose the venue, the day and the time. It keeps things moving so a good match doesn’t fade into endless small talk.

What happens if the 24 hours run out?

If no plan is agreed within the window, the match expires. That’s by design: Spot is built to get you meeting, not chatting forever. You’ll keep seeing new people who want to make plans.

How do I change or cancel a confirmed plan?

Open the plan from your calendar in the app to suggest a new time or venue, or to cancel. Please let your date know as early as you can. Last-minute no-shows are reported and can affect your account.

Where do I see my upcoming dates?

Every confirmed plan lands in your Spot calendar, along with any local offers at the venue you’ve chosen.

Spot Dates

What is a Spot Date?

A Spot Date is a date idea you post first: coffee, drinks, food or something fun, with a day, time and place. Other people can request to join, so you lead with the plan rather than the pickup line.

How do I post one?

Tap Drop a Spot, choose the type of date, then pick a day, time and venue. Once it’s posted, you’ll be notified when someone requests to join.

Do I have to accept every request?

No. You choose who to accept. Requests you don’t accept simply won’t go ahead, and the other person isn’t told why.

Venues and offers

How are venues chosen?

We partner with independent cafes, bars, restaurants and activities across Milton Keynes and nearby. Each venue page shows real photos, vibe tags and why the place works for a first date.

How do venue offers work?

Some partner venues offer something extra for Spot dates. Any offer appears on the venue page and alongside your confirmed plan. Offers are set by each venue and may change, so check the details before you go.

Something was wrong at a venue. Who do I tell?

For bookings, bills or service on the day, speak to the venue directly. If a venue’s details on Spot are wrong, or you had an experience we should know about, email support@meetonspot.com with the venue name and date.

I own a venue. How do I join Spot?

We’d love to hear from you. Visit our venue partner page to find out how Spot brings date-night footfall to independent places and to get in touch.

Safety and reporting

How do I report or block someone?

Open their profile or your chat with them, tap the menu and choose Report or Block. Blocking stops them seeing you or contacting you. Reports are confidential: the person is never told who reported them.

What happens after I report someone?

Our team reviews every report against our Community Guidelines. Depending on what we find, we may warn, restrict or remove the account. We can’t always share the outcome, to protect everyone’s privacy.

How can I stay safe on a first date?
  • Meet in a public place. Every venue on Spot is a public, staffed space.
  • Tell a friend where you’re going, who with, and when you expect to be home.
  • Arrange your own travel there and back.
  • Keep personal details like your home address private until you trust someone.
  • Never send money to someone you’ve met on Spot.
  • If anything feels off, leave. You don’t owe anyone an explanation.

Privacy and deleting your account

How do I delete my account?

In the app, go to Settings, then Account, then Delete account, and confirm. This removes your profile, matches and plans.

If you can’t access the app, email support@meetonspot.com from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. Deleting the app from your phone does not delete your account.

What data does Spot keep about me?

We only use your information to run Spot, keep the community safe and improve the app. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, and how long we keep it. You can ask for a copy of your data at any time by emailing us.

How do I manage notifications?

Go to Settings in the app to choose which notifications you get. You can also turn Spot notifications off in your phone’s settings.

No answers match that search.

Try a shorter word, or email support@meetonspot.com and we’ll help directly.

Your safety comes before any date.

Spot is built around meeting in public, at real local venues. If someone makes you uncomfortable, in the app or in person, report them. Our team reviews every report.

Report a safety concern

If you’re in immediate danger

Call 999
  • For non-emergencies, call the police on 101.
  • If you’re at a venue, ask a member of staff for help.
  • Then let us know so we can act on the account.

Still need help?

Email our team and a real person will get back to you. Include the email address on your Spot account and, if it helps, a screenshot.
